Each letter of the Hebrew
alefbet is a symbol whose meanings and applications, when standing
alone, are innumerable. In word-form combinations, however, a
more focused understanding appears; for pairings limit meanings
of combined letters as ordered by letter sequence, moving the
intellect towards equivalent known verbal forms among the secular
languages of man. The core paleo-hebrew speaks, and the languages
of man interpret, each according to its tongue; and each, again,
according to patterns of speech.
In HaShem (The Name) , two pairings are prominent: the Yod/He and the Waw/He
. In its structure and sequence, therefore, HaShem
YHWH is an implicit statement of covenant:
- there is a giving
of light
coupled with an embrace of the light given
- there is an activation
resulting in a proliferation
- and there is a counterbalancing
, which also results in a proliferation .
Further, the pairings are
in agreement:
blesses you and keeps/sustains you.
In blessing ( ) you,
makes (his) faces to
shine upon you and is gracious unto you.
In sustaining ( ) you,
lifts up (his) expressions
within you and gives you peace.
The Name is a promise that
YHWH does not act without counterbalence. Among other
things, this means that HaShem does not judge
(hand upon the rake) without also extending mercy
(compassionate discrimination).
